Glutton for Punishment

I tend to wonder a lot about stuff like Karma. Is there some sort of function to the universe whereby if you're a quality person you tend to do better for yourself? Is this because people can innaately recognize the generosity at work or is this something deeper.

I also tend to do a lot of favors for people... sexual favors... dirty, nasty. Oh wait. I don't do any favors that are nearly that exciting. I do research for people. My friends always IM me and say "Dave, can you find such and such?" and because I've got nothing better to do I do it.

And I'm a sucker for a good story. I was sitting in a bus-stop for two hours a couple weeks ago, waiting for my girlfriend's bus to come and spirit her back to the South from which she came... Bus stations are the meeting point for people who have the worst luck in the world, it seems. So I helped people out all night, became a quasi-ATM... I ended up shelling out $20-30 to various people that needed just that little bit more to get to where they were going. I work... I make money. These people might be in dire straits. Who knows. It might be me someday

Why so so many fonts offer so much and then provide so little? It seems like that's been the most difficult decision I've made involving this site so far. I have the choice of about 100 or so different text styles to choose from... (text styles... textiles... I wonder if there's a font somewhere called Burlap...) and I'm just unable to do it. Is this just me?

Since Danny has been so kind as to link to my site I thought I'd provide some sort of an update to it. Since my HTML skills are a bit rusty I'm using the beautiful StarOffice to assist me in my labors. There's a host of reasons that I prefer this over Microsoft Office, but here are two for you to chew on.

1. It hasn't crashed, ever.

2. It's free.

There's likely to be quite a bit of pictures of DC on this site. I live here. I like it. I like politics. And by I like politics I don't mean I'm an anarchist protester. I mean... I like American Politics the way they are. Do I think they could be better? Yeah... But they work pretty damn well.

Disclaimer: Unlike my GW-attending friend I do not think girls are evil. I rather like girls and think that Danny is merely misguided. Girls have the capacity for evil but are not innately so. Sure, they can be assholes. We all can.
